Celeste Amadei
Celeste is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the lab of Dr. Zafar Nawaz. She earned her B.A. in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley and her M.S. in pharmacology from Georgetown University. Celeste attended medical school at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. Her previous research experiences include cancer research at NIH, human social and abnormal psychology research, neuropharmacology research, radiology research, and neuropsychiatric research. She is now studying the transcriptional coactivation function of E6AP. Celeste aspires to help develop new medications for neuropsychiatric disorders such as autism, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer's. In her free time, Celeste enjoys cooking, singing, gardening, and training her German Shepherd, Hans.
