Nadja Andrade
Nadja is currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology within the lab of Dr. Claes Wahlestedt. She majored in Chemistry with a minor in Biotechnology and Industrial Chemistry at the University of São Paulo, SP, Brazil and her M.A. in Biotechnology at Columbia University, New York, NY. Her current research interests include investigating neuroinflammation in alcoholism as well as understanding nucleocytoplasmic transport mechanisms through biosensors in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Nadja wishes to pursue a career in biotechnology consulting. Outside of the lab, Nadja enjoys exercising (boxing, calisthenics, obstacle course racing and muay thai).
